Default FCI and Fox shock clearance issues

Have any of you guys had clearance issues with your FCI and fox rear shock?

Finding that the piggyback reservoir is hitting the FCI when the shock is only half compressed, if i managed to bottom out it would tear the FCI off.

Any help would be appreciated.

Think that's why the Guy got rid of the fci he sold me. Said he didn't like how it rubbed on the shock. So far it hasn't hit the stock rear yet.

i had this issue on a 08 with my stage 4 elkas and it turned out i was over looking something.
i was trying to lower it to flatrack and the retainer ring was rubbing. i did notice that the rubber boot that mates the tube to the carb or tb is thinner on one side. also had to reverse a bolt that was hitting it, mabey a subframe bolt.

what is your bike

ctown - I had the same issues with my 08 yfz but managed to make it work in the end. This time its on my 09YFZR, going to try and rotate the piggyback clamp a little and see if that helps, if not im going to have to go back to the stock shock.

I think I have it sorted?! Took out the subframe bolt that was digging into the FCI and forcing it over to the right, that helped a little. I just used a washer to space it out a little. Then loosened off the piggy back clamp and rotated it as far as I could. Now it just touches the FCI at full compression, wont rip it off. This took me about 8 hours and $100 in tools to get sorted haha. What a mission, hope the shock is worth it.

I would be interested to hear from the others with this set up, wondering if my longer JB pull rod is whats causing the problems?

I'm running the Fox rear and FCI on my bike aswell. I didn't do anything special just put the FCI on and everything was fine. I'm also running a GTThunder Pullrod but have run the fci and fox shock without it with no problems aswell.

Are you able to post a photo funyun? Everything is so close with this shock and intake. The top of the piggyback/clamp just touches the frame cross member at full compression also, have you checked yours? Has yours got any marks on it from bottoming out?

I also don't have any trouble running the Fox FCI. I run the JB 6pt subframe though, so maybe I have a little extra clearance?

Also check the other side of your fci, im picking it will be rubbing on the subframe bolt to. I took the bolt out and added a washer to space it out. That stopped it rubbing against the shock, gave it a little more room.
